Blueberry Porch Cake

This season has been a special one at Magnolia Heritage Farm. For the first time, we’ve been able to gather enough blueberries from our garden to share them beyond a handful enjoyed while picking. Inspired by this harvest, we created this Blueberry Porch Cake using ingredients we love—fresh blueberries, eggs from our hens, local honey, raw cane sugar, and vanilla bean paste.

While blueberries are known for their sweet flavor, they are also naturally rich in antioxidants, fiber, and vitamin C. The soft silvery coating found on fresh blueberries is called “bloom,” a natural protective layer that helps keep the fruit fresh after it’s picked.

This cake celebrates a new chapter on the farm and the simple joy of creating something delicious from ingredients grown close to home.
